Late Night London Survival Tip

We never save room for them, but since Brick Lane is only a few blocks away from Green and Red, we stop on the way home and buy a couple of salt beef beigels (that's British for bagels) from the bakery. It's a fresh beigel/bagel, sliced open and stuffed with steaming salt beef (like corned beef, but without all the extra spices). By the time we make it to West London we are ready for a bite of England's number one late night drunk food. At 1.60 each, it's also the cheapest meal in town. At 2:30am we've found the line winding from the register to the back of the store back to the front and out the door, as cab drivers and club-goers crowd in. Bottom line: they are too inexpensive to actually contain heroin, but they are equally addictive. Thanks, Simon.
